Accelerated Flight Instruction
ACCELERATED INSTRUMENT RATING

LET'S GO FLYING IN SOME IMC--IT'S EASY--PRACTICAL--FUN--AND USEFUL!!

Although I enjoy and do a wide variety of training, my specialty is instrument training.

I highly recommend a compressed, concentrated and accelerated program.  This will result in rapid acquisition of the requisite skills, but more importantly will result in long term retention.

We will use a simulator for the early work and spend several days in the simulator before we even start to have you spend good money on aircraft fuel and/or rental.  By that time you will be a master at all procedures, including orientation, procedure turns, holding patterns (forget all the scary things you've heard about them--I make these entries easy), non precision and precision approaches, including DME arcs.  You will be a pro at all of this!  Then our task is simply to transfer this knowledge into your aircraft.  After a few more days of training in your aircraft, you will be ready to show your stuff to an FAA examiner.

WHAT YOU NEED TO START

As my program moves so quickly, you will need to have your FAA knowledge exam under your belt before you start.  I can tutor you with this or I can recommend to you a cost effective way to get this done.  For me to do this, I need to understand your situation, so we need to talk about this.

Whoops,  I almost forgot---you will need an aircraft!!
I do not supply training aircraft.  If you do not own or have access to one, I can help you find something to rent or borrow, if you do not own an aircraft yourself.  I have no compunction or preconditions about what your aircraft is.  It can be an old "six pack" equiped aircraft, a newer TAA aircraft (my personal aircraft is TAA and I am very familiar with a majority of newer avionics), or a homebuilt that you equipped to be "your baby".  As long as the aircraft is equipped and maintained for IFR per FAA regulations, I am fine with it.  We will fly in IMC as much as is possible on your in-flight training days.
